Sarah's first summer holiday was to Guernsey. Here she discovered the delights of the seaside, such as sand between the toes, in the clothes, in the mouth, etc etc - as well as learning that you get a better tan by crawling out from under the sunshade which your parents have spent ages getting in just the right position.
