Young Swallows

Or Barn Swallows, as they're now sometimes called. In 2022 we found ourselves living near what must be a good place for swallows to breed. We didn't work out exactly where their nests were, but there must have been several, as one day there were nearly 30 youngsters on the buildings round about, waiting to be fed.

These two were among about a dozen which took up a place on our balcony railings.
