Fairlight Glen

Now part of Hastings Country Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Fairlight Glen was once the haunt of smugglers.

It was also much visited as the site of Lovers' Seat, a secret meeting place for two eighteenth century lovers. However, the cliffs have eroded and Lovers' Seat has long since tumbled into the sea.
