Sparrowhawk
There were quite a lot of birds round where we lived in Lincolnshire, which
meant the local sparrowhawks would pop in from time to time for a spot of
something to eat. They didn't seem very interested in the smaller birds,
though, as we only ever saw them take larger species such as wood pigeons or
collared doves.
Unfortunately birds of that size aren't really suitable for takeaway,
so we always got left with clearing up afterwards. "Fast food" didn't
really describe it either: this sparrowhawk stayed around filling its
face for well over an hour - though at least it wasn't catching
anything else during that time.
