Bluebell
Railway
Locomotive No.73082 "Camelot", at the Bluebell Railway's Sheffield Park
Station.
The south-east of England has a fairly dense network of railways, but
at one time there were even more. This line forms part of the former
route from East Grinstead to Lewes, which was closed in 1958. In 1960
it became the first standard gauge line in Britain to be re-opened.
Although there are now many restored railways in Britain, this is the
only standard gauge line where all services are hauled by steam
locomotives. Perhaps because of this, the line is frequently used as a
film and TV location.
